How big does a kitchen really need to be? | Grove at Cambridge Townhomes, Surrey

I came across a great renovation newsletter a while back while at The Clubhouse at The Grove at Cambridge, our new townhomes in Surrey.  When I noticed our kitchen in Show Home 10 so closely mirrors their "ideal" sink and dishwashing center layout, I couldn't resist sharing it with Noelle!  And now, we can't resist sharing this scientific research from 1939 with you.

How many kitchen cabinets do you really need?

Seems it all comes down to the number of bedrooms - a principle they spent five years to develop called the "Balance of Storage".

At the Grove at Cambridge, we think it's all about a well-planned, effective work triangle that makes prep, cooking and clean up a breeze.  It's about kitchens made for entertaining equipped with Samsung Stainless appliances, imported white quartz countertops and a fabulous undermount sink so your kitchen is dazzling AND functional.  It's about having a place for everything and putting everything in it's place.  And you need a lot of drawers and cupboards to make that dream a reality!

Regardless of the research, I think we can all agree that the kitchen is one of the most used rooms in the house. It's the heart of the home. It's where family and friends gather to share great food.  It's where memories are made. Like the sign I bought at HomeSense yesterday reads : In our kitchen we create, laugh, welcome, delight, feast, inspire, chef, comfort, love, entertain, learn.

We'd love to invite you to consider making one of our dazzling kitchens your new kitchen.  Join us at The Grove at Cambridge to see what's cooking and to ponder what memories you'll make!

Our kitchens are open daily, 11 am - 7 pm.

See you soon!

Best regards,
